About Our Graduate Programme

We offer a dynamic two-year Graduate Programme - an exceptional launchpad for your career as a future Chartered High Voltage Engineer. Our program uniquely combines technical expertise with professional development through two learning journeys. You'll dive into hands-on experiences alongside our industry-leading teams, equipping you with the essential skills and knowledge to thrive in your engineering career.

From day one, you'll benefit from a personalised on-the-job training plan tailored to the HV department, enabling you to apply your technical knowledge in real-world settings with ongoing support from experienced professionals. You’ll actively contribute to a variety of projects and we are committed to enhancing your essential soft skills, ensuring you develop a well-rounded skill set that complements your technical abilities with effective communication, collaboration, and leadership.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Producing designs, calculations, reports, and drawings for new and modified Extra High Voltage (EHV) projects ranging from 11kV to 400kV.
• Preparing bonding line diagrams, cable rating assessments, induced voltage analyses, short circuit force evaluations, thermo-mechanical thrust calculations, pulling tension assessments, and the development of material specification lists.
• Contributing to health and safety reviews and hazard identification in accordance with the CDM regulations, also focusing on sustainability and environmental compliance.

• 2:1 in a relevant engineering degree, such as Electrical Engineering or Power Engineering.
