Conveyancer/Executive – New Build Property
Job summary
A law firm is seeking an experienced Conveyancer/Executive to join their New Build team in Middlesbrough. This full-time position involves providing high-quality support and advice to colleagues and clients throughout the conveyancing process. Candidates should have over two years of experience, excellent technical knowledge, and strong communication skills. The role also requires efficient management of caseloads and a proactive approach to legal matters. Salary is based on experience.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of new build conveyancing.
- Ability to work under pressure.

Skills
An exciting vacancy has arisen for an experienced Conveyancer/Executive, to join our New Build team at our Middlesbrough branch on a full-time basis.
The role involves providing high quality technical support, instruction, advice and assistance to colleagues and clients of the firm. The successful candidate will have extensive experience of freehold and leasehold transactions, with specialist knowledge of New Build properties. They will be motivated to assist the team with complex technical matters/issues and will pride themselves on delivering a first class service throughout the conveyancing process.
- Providing technical support for the property teams across the firm.
- Dealing with technical matters, either directly or by supervision as appropriate.
- Providing cover for fee-earner’s absences; managing and dealing with caseloads proactively to avoid delays in completion.
- Carrying out New Build title checks for other team members and compiling title reports for clients.
- Continuous improvement of the team’s processes and procedures.
- Taking instructions from clients and advising accordingly.
- Obtaining and preparing file documentation.
- Billing files and obtaining monies due to the firm from the clients and other parties.
- Maintaining legal knowledge and skills.
- Contributing to maintaining and improving office procedures.
- Ability to deal with technical details and to express solutions to complex legal issues in a concise and customer-friendly way.
- Literate and numerate.
- Ability to work accurately in accordance with the requirements of each team.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work on own initiative.
- Ability to work as a member of a team.
- Ability to deal with enquiries in a customer-friendly and effective manner.
- Good IT skills
- Excellent in-depth technical new build conveyancing knowledge
- Solicitors Code of Conduct
- 2+ years’ experience at a similar level
