Job summary

A local council is seeking a Part Time Youth Project Worker to lead projects for young people in Gwynedd. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that young people feel safe, supported, and that their voices are heard. Applicants should possess relevant qualifications and experience, and be fluent in both Welsh and English. This role is temporary with working hours including evenings and weekends.

• Able to work well and create a solid relationship with young people.
• Experience of providing projects/activities for young people.
• Experience of working with young people.

Responsibilities

• Leader in Charge to present projects and activities for young people in their communities.
• Assist the Youth Worker to develop sessions and projects for young people.
• Ensure that young people feel safe and supported.

Skills

Effective face to face communication skills with young people

Fluent in both Welsh and English

Good organisational and administrative skills

Able to work with young people

Strong commitment to the principles of Equal Opportunity and Child Protection

Education

Level 3 qualification in Youth Work

Level 1 Child Protection Course
