A global engineering company is seeking a Principal Engineer to oversee turbine design and interface with OEMs for offshore wind projects in the UK. The ideal candidate will have 10-15 years of experience in offshore wind design, focusing on both floating and fixed structures. This role offers a hybrid working model and requires UK residency. Candidates must have a Chartered Engineer status, and familiarity with engineering software is essential.

Purpose of the position: As Principal Engineer you will report to the Floating ILA Engineering Manager within the Offshore Wind business line. You will be responsible for all activities related to turbine design and interface with turbine OEM in offshore wind.

What are we looking for?
Education: Chartered Engineer (Engineering Degree - Aeronautical degree preferred)
Experience: 10-15 years in design for offshore wind covering both floating and fixed wind substructures
Technical skills: codes and standards, including DNV and IEC, turbine design, WTG
IT skills: engineering software (OrcaFlex, Bladed, Fast) and MS365
