Qualifications

  • Strong and competent in welding and fabrication with experience in MIG and TIG.
  • Ability to pass an Enhanced DBS check.
  • Fully conversant with welding and able to read engineering drawings.

Welding Instructor

Salary: £36,000 basic (Neg DOE)

Hours of work: 37.5 Hours Mon‑Fri 7:30 am‑4:00 pm; Fri 7:30 am‑1:00 pm

Location: MTL Advanced, Rotherham

Responsibilities
  • Assist in delivering the Level 3 Plate Welder standard to apprentices
  • Ensure a smooth onboarding process for all new apprentices
  • Instruct and train apprentices in several welding & fabrication techniques
  • Assess apprentice progress and provide constructive feedback to facilitate skill development and improvement
  • Assist with monitoring and maintaining workshop standards with respect
  • Maintain training facilities and equipment in line with Health & Safety policies to ensure optimal functionality and safety for apprentices
What We Are Looking For
  • Strong & competent welder/fabricator, experienced with MIG & TIG
  • Ability to pass an Enhanced DBS check (company pays)
  • Ability to work effectively and use own initiative
  • Ability to lead, manage and train others to achieve desired results
  • Fully conversant with welding, fabrication and able to read engineering drawings
