Role Overview

The role of the Warehouse Process Lead focuses on analysing, optimising, and implementing enhancements to business processes to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and improve overall performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments of existing processes and workflows to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement using data analysis and stakeholder interviews.
  • Develop and implement process improvement strategies and initiatives that align with organisational goals, designing new, more efficient workflows and procedures.
  • Utilise methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and Gemba to drive process optimisation and lead improvement projects (often called events or workshops).
  • Use data analysis tools (like Excel or Power BI) to track, measure, and report on process performance metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure the success and sustainability of improvements.
  • Lead and collaborate with cross‑functional teams across various departments (e.g., IT, manufacturing, HR) to ensure buy‑in, alignment, and successful adoption of changes.
  • Facilitate change management activities, including training and mentoring staff on new processes, tools, and continuous improvement principles to foster a culture of operational excellence.
  • Document process changes, update standard operating procedures (SOPs), and maintain clear records for compliance and knowledge transfer.
Requirements / Qualifications
  • Proven experience in supply chain management with team leadership responsibilities in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment, preferably within a regulated industry such as aerospace, defence, or pharmaceuticals.
  • Proven experience leading change, continuous improvement and process adherence.
  • Experience leading and participating in multidivisional projects.
  • Flexibility to cover operational functions to support business continuity and resilience.
  • Extensive knowledge of logistics way of working and methodology best practice.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage performance of individuals and larger groups.
  • Skilled in identifying problems and applying structured resolution tools (e.g., root cause analysis).
  • Knowledge of compliance standards such as ISO9001 and implementing processes and procedures within a logistics setting.
  • Certifications: IOSH Managing Safely, Six Sigma Green/Black.
