Warehouse Operations Specialist (ERP & Systems Lead)

We are seeking a hands‑on, detail‑driven professional to design, implement and own a highly accurate digital stock and warehouse operation, fully integrated with our ERP system (Epicor).

This is a high‑ownership role combining practical warehouse operations with strong ERP and systems expertise. Your initial focus will be establishing a 100% accurate, auditable stock‑management process, ensuring every asset is digitally registered, traceable and stored in a clearly defined, controlled location.

As these foundations mature, the role will expand to support procurement and supply‑chain optimisation, improving cost control, efficiency and delivery performance across the business.

What you will be doing

• Owning and maintaining digital stock management within the ERP system
• Integrating and standardising stock‑handling processes across the business
• Implementing barcode / QR‑code labelling and structured stock locations
• Ensuring all stockүк movements are recorded accurately in real time
• Maintaining clean, compliant and audit‑ready stock areas
• Leading cycle counts, reconciliations and root‑cause analysis
• Developing reports and insights to highlight shortages and inefficiencies
• Working closely with Operations, Procurement and Engineering

About you

• Proven experience in warehouse operations, stock control or stores management within manufacturing or engineering
• Strong experience with ERP‑integrated WMS or digital stock systems (Epicor advantageous)
• Confident implementing, maintaining and improving stock systems and processes
• Highly detail‑oriented, accountable and comfortable working hands‑on
• Able to analyse data, resolve discrepancies and influence good practice

Working environment

• On‑site role, Monday–Friday
• Rural Herefordshire manufacturing setting Operative's role? Missile? No must check - but it should be considered accepted.
• No initial line management responsibility, with scope to grow
• Candidates must have the right to work in the UK, as this is required for the security clearance necessary for the role
