Job description

The Warehouse Assistant is heavily involved in all workflow processes found within the warehouse and workshops for all of the fishing & remedial tools and related equipment. They will be responsible for loading/unloading trucks, booking in tools, cleaning tools using a pressure washer unit, and pulling the correct tools to match operations shipping tickets. They will also be expected to load/unload baskets of tools. Warehouse Assistants offer key forklift support to all workshops in order to keep tools flowing consistently throughout workshops. Service quality, job preparation, planning and safety are key priorities.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Participate in toolbox meetings with all members of the warehouse team.
  • Always fully comply with the requirements of the QHSE policies, standards, and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
  • Maintain all equipment in good, safe working order according to standards and report any problem or deviation to the warehouse supervisor.
  • Perform daily maintenance checks on forklifts and OH cranes.
  • Process incoming goods and mobilise equipment.
  • Sourcing tools as per shipping tickets.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned to support operational efficiency.
Qualifications/Requirements
  • Must have at least 3 years’ experience of working in a busy workshop environment.
  • Must hold a valid forklift license.
  • Must hold a valid OH crane certificate.
  • Must be able to work on their own initiative.
  • Must be able to demonstrate the ability to work independently under minimal supervision.
  • Is personally committed to continuous improvement.
  • Listens and is able to communicate effectively with supervisors and peers.
