Base pay range

Due to continuing growth, we are recruiting for a Vehicle Technician to join Listers Volkswagen Commercial Coventry. Hours of work are on a choice of shift between 07:00-16:00 and 09:00-18:00, with any half hour in between, plus 1 in 4 Saturdays on a rota basis. Our packages and new pay plans are industry‑leading and reflect each applicant's experience and skillset. Basic salaries start from £32,000 up to £45,000. Bonus / OTE’s range from £35,000 up to £48,000.

Role and Responsibilities
  • Servicing, repair, and diagnostics of all vehicles in the workshop, ensuring work is carried out to the highest standard first time.
  • Electrical and mechanical repairs, including suspension, steering, brakes, wheel bearings, driveshafts, exhausts and air conditioning servicing.
  • Repairs and maintenance on EV and Hybrid vehicles using electronic diagnostic equipment, focusing on batteries, drive motor, auxiliary drive pack & control systems.
  • Fit manufacturer accessories and audio equipment.
  • Understand and uphold Customer Satisfaction impact on business.
  • Operate additional systems, such as video reporting (e.g., CitNOW).
  • Complete all service paperwork to manufacturer and brand standards.
  • Work closely with other workshop team members to constantly learn and share knowledge.
About you
  • Experience working in the automotive sector as a Vehicle Technician, Mechanic, HGV Mechanic, HGV Technician, Motor Mechanic, etc.
  • Holding or working towards completion of NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
  • MOT License beneficial but not essential.
  • Full UK Driving licence.
  • Demonstrated good mechanical and electrical knowledge and ability to ensure high standard work.
