Scouts prepares young people with skills for life – we’re talking about teamwork, leadership and resilience. We bring together young people aged from 4 - 18, and adult volunteers, from across Norfolk and encourage them to join the adventure with us!

Summary

We are looking for volunteers to expand our teams so we can offer fun and adventure for more young people aged 6-14 years in Thetford.

Detailed description

As a volunteer you will work as part of a team of volunteers to support one of our sections which are for boys & girls – Beavers (6-8 years old), Cubs (8-10 years old) and Scouts (10-14 years old).

We meet regularly on one evening during the week and the odd activity/adventure at weekends. We are totally flexible, so if you can’t make every meeting don’t worry.

You don't need skills or training to get involved in Scouting. We do offer some simple and easy to do (on your mobile/laptop) learning, a free DBS check, first aid training and a discount at a major outdoor brand.

Volunteering is not only good for the young people and our local community but it also improves your wellbeing, gives you skills for the future, and helps you make new friends and memories.
