Job description

We're looking for a Virtual Design Technician to join our Design team based nationwide. Kier Design are a top-25 engineering consultancy, delivering a wide range of services across all sectors of the built environment, providing construction-focused, innovative and sustainable solutions. 37.5 hours per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

What will you be responsible for?

As Virtual Design Technician, you'll be working within the Digital team, bringing construction designs to life through animations, interactive models and immersive visual experiences. Working closely with project teams, you'll help communicate complex ideas clearly and compellingly using cutting-edge tools and technologies.

Your day to day will include:

  • Createhigh-quality animations, still visuals and interactive content.
  • Design and develop bespoke interactive project walkthroughs, enabling users to explore construction sites, buildings and infrastructure projects in real time.
  • Produce real-time scenario simulations, interactive site logistics models and virtual reality (VR) experiences.
What are we looking for?

This role of Virtual Design Technician is great for you if:

  • A strong design background with the ability to interpret briefs and create bespoke environments tailored to client needs.
  • Understanding of the construction industry and ability to interpret architectural and engineering drawings.
  • Sound working knowledge of Revit and Twinmotion, v-ray or similar.
