Vice President, Client Operations

BNY is searching for a Vice President, Client Operations to lead our Client Services team in Manchester UK.

Responsibilities
  • Day‑to‑day oversight of assigned portfolios to maintain high client experience levels.
  • Transaction Management: Cash & Trade (Loans, Bonds, etc.) management oversight – engage with clients to ensure timely execution, report review, and preparation on portfolio performance; monitor service levels.
  • Continuous collaboration and open communication with Lead Managers and Group Managers on status of work completed by supporting teams.
  • Lead and participate in client meetings, ensuring minutes and follow‑up items are closed out.
  • Develop strong relationships with Front Office Relationship Managers.
  • Identify and resolve issues, serving as a high‑level escalation point for complex situations and ensuring successful resolution.
  • Employee development: key role in training the support team on client and deal‑specific requirements.
  • Partner with Global Group Managers to streamline business operations, standardize processes, and manage/control activities for quality and accuracy.
  • Support key business programmes, including process improvements that drive greater operational efficiencies and superior client service.
  • Serve as an escalation point and communicate effectively with internal shared services, external investment managers, brokers, and clients, driving overall client relationships and risk management.
  • Partner Management: proactively monitor and manage partner activities, holding regular meetings and escalating any concerns.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of Corporate Trust or related financial markets/securities industry experience, and minimum 7 years in financial services.
  • Strong client‑management experience.
  • Ability to review deal‑governing documents.
  • Experience in loans (syndicated, bi‑lateral, real estate) highly desirable.
  • Solid understanding of administered products, risk management, and control practices.
  • Proactive monitoring and management of partner activities outside of Ireland.
  • Strong decision‑making ability and quick issue resolution.
  • Financial services technical skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional analytical, organisational, and time‑management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Experience with loans (syndicated, bi‑lateral, real estate) and CLOs very desirable.
