Overview

V. is a global leader in ship management and marine services, providing quality and efficiency across crew management, quality ship management, technical services, and commercial services.

Overall Purpose

Operate and maintain ship marine equipment safely, economically, and efficiently according to contract/charter party, budgets, and client satisfaction. Approve purchases per company authority matrix and perform tasks as listed in Responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities And Tasks
  • Responsible for technical management and performance of vessels, including well intervention equipment and technical budget. Serve as onshore contact for day‑to‑day technical operations and mobilisation, liaising with Owners and Fleet Manager.
  • Monitor and ensure vessels comply with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Ensure statutory and classification surveys are conducted for all plant and equipment.
  • Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance to prevent non‑conformities that could cause downtime.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of the maintenance system by providing feedback to the Fleet Manager and ShipSure team.
  • Monitor and follow up vessel technical performance and KPIs, taking immediate actions to adjust and improve performance when deviations occur.
  • Report vessel technical status weekly to the Fleet Manager.
  • Plan, coordinate, and supervise ship repair and dry‑docking in cooperation with stakeholders.
  • Arrange repairs, provide spares and service engineers during major breakdowns, supervise repair work, and manage insurance processes as needed.
  • Lead vessel condition assessments with Owners.
  • Participate in appraisals of key personnel onboard.
  • Comply with V.Ships Offshore Vessel Management System requirements and report non‑conformities.
  • Cooperate with other disciplines to optimise vessel and fleet performance.
  • Work independently and collaboratively within the team.
  • Focus on problem solving and demonstrate decision skills.
  • Proactively seek effective solutions for both Company and Clients.
  • Communicate openly and share information with the team.
  • Show flexibility in ad‑hoc situations and contribute to improving routines.
