The Role

Join us as Venue Security Manager and take the lead in creating a safe, secure environment for unforgettable events. You’ll oversee all aspects of venue security and emergency management—protecting guests, assets, and operations while ensuring world‑class standards.

We’re looking for an experienced professional from event security or public safety who combines technical expertise with strong leadership and interpersonal skills. From assessing complex risks, including counterterrorism, to managing permanent, casual, and contracted security teams, this role is both challenging and rewarding.

You’ll be responsible for:
  • Monitoring security systems, patrols, and event control operations; investigating incidents; managing car park security; and reporting performance to senior leadership.
  • Working with event teams to identify and mitigate security threats—including counter‑terrorism—and coordinating emergency training and exercises.
  • Overseeing recruitment, training, and performance of in‑house security staff, and managing contracted security, stewarding, and medical providers for compliance and quality.
  • Setting goals, driving security strategy, and ensuring robust policies and procedures to protect guests, staff, and assets.
  • Liaising with local authorities, police, emergency services, and national security groups, representing the venue on key committees and initiatives.
You’ll have
  • Previous management experience in event, hospitality, or a similar high‑profile environment, with the ability to lead teams and contractors effectively.
  • A Level 5 qualification in Security Management (or equivalent experience) and strong knowledge of counter‑terrorism threats, protective security measures, and risk assessment.
  • Current SIA Frontline Guarding or Door Supervisor Licence and SIA CCTV Licence.
  • Confidence to take control in emergencies, solve problems under pressure, and handle challenging situations, including conflict resolution.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, enabling you to collaborate with stakeholders and inspire your team.
Legends Global requires all security staff to be vetted in accordance with BS7858 which includes the following:
  • 5 years of employment verification
  • 6 year credit search
  • Proof of ID & UK right to work
  • Proof of address
  • A valid SIA licence or carrying out basic disclosure/ACPO
  • Coverage of any 31+ day employment gap
