Vehicle Technician – Lloyd Land Rover – Ripon

Vehicle Technician position at Lloyd Land Rover in Ripon. Join our team and receive an introductory bonus of up to £2000 (Terms & Conditions apply). Salary ranges from £33,000 to £49,000 depending on experience and qualifications, and includes uncapped bonuses.

Work hours are flexible. Options include: seasonal or term‑time schedules, evening shifts and customised flexible hours. All options are considered and subject to availability.

Responsibilities
  • Complete work orders with details of repairs, parts required and labour charged.
  • Test vehicles using measuring devices to provide accurate diagnostic reports to the Workshop Controller.
  • Interpret and use technical data and instructions provided by the manufacturer.
  • Conduct routine service work on vehicles brought into the workshop.
  • Remove and install vehicle components according to the manufacturer’s methodology.
  • Carry out vehicle health checks and identify areas of concern.
  • Prepare new and approved used vehicles.
  • Perform technical repair work following established documented procedures.
  • Report faults on job cards and notify Service Manager or Workshop Controller of additional faults affecting scope or delivery.
  • Record work details including all hours worked and material usage.
  • Ensure vehicle safety standards are met before return to customers.
  • Keep vehicle clean during service and repair.
  • Maintain workshop cleanliness and readiness for the next shift.
