Our mission is to create simplicity in agriculture – helping farmers grow. We are proud to foster a diverse and inclusive workplace and welcome candidates from all backgrounds.

As Sales Manager for ADAMA UK, you will own the country’s commercial performance — driving sustainable revenue growth, profitability, and market impact. Reporting directly to the Head of Commercial Unit, you will lead our commercial sales teams to deliver best-in‑class customer engagement and business results.

This is a high‑impact leadership role where you’ll shape and execute commercial excellence plans, lead the Go‑To‑Market strategy, and inspire a winning, customer‑focused sales culture.

This role required an office presence in Berkshire twice per week.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead Commercial Growth: Deliver top‑line and bottom‑line results, managing the full country P&L and driving the UK business to meet and exceed sales, profit, and cash‑flow targets.
  • Strategic Execution: Develop and implement annual and five‑year commercial plans aligned with regional strategy and market opportunities.
  • Market Leadership: Execute innovative sales and marketing strategies to strengthen ADAMA’s market position and drive long‑term value creation.
  • Customer Excellence: Build and nurture lasting client partnerships, ensuring customer needs are met with tailored, differentiated solutions.
  • Team Development: Inspire, coach, and develop a high‑performing commercial team through effective performance management and incentive programs.
  • Operational Efficiency: Collaborate across supply chain, finance, and regulatory functions to optimize inventory, forecasting, and compliance.
  • Financial Stewardship: Oversee working capital, demand planning, and trade receivables management to ensure operational integrity.
  • Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Partner with product development, regulatory, and regional teams to connect commercial strategy with product innovation and compliance.
What Success Looks Like
  • Consistent achievement of sales and profitability targets
  • Enhanced customer satisfaction and loyalty
  • A motivated, capable, and engaged commercial team
  • Effective execution of the Workplan and five‑year strategy
  • Strong collaboration across regional and functional teams

You’re a commercially astute leader who thrives in a dynamic, performance‑driven environment. You understand the agricultural market and are passionate about helping farmers succeed. You combine strategic thinking with hands‑on leadership, balancing long‑term growth with operational excellence.

Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Agronomy, Science, or related field (MBA/Master’s degree preferred)
  • 10+ years’ experience in the agricultural chemical industry, including senior leadership roles in sales and marketing or country management
  • Proven success in managing P&L and delivering profitable growth
  • Deep understanding of the agrochemical market, customer dynamics, and competitive landscape
  • Strong influencing, communication, and relationship‑building skills
