A global ground improvement contractor is seeking an experienced Transport Manager in Hatfield to oversee vehicle management and depot maintenance across the UK & Ireland. We are looking for an experienced Transport Manager to be based in our Hatfield Office.
General overview
As the Transport and Depots manager, you will be responsible for the management of all the vehicles, maintenance of equipment and the depots throughout the UK & Ireland. You will manage the fitters to ensure they maintain the vehicles and the equipment on the vehicles to the standards as laid out in the Statutory Document for Transport Managers, and ensure all the depots are maintained in accordance with HSE and Statutory guidelines. You will ensure all company vehicle operators are legally compliant and safe to drive as per the company driving policy. You will liaise with contracts managers, supervisory technicians and the operations team to uphold HSE and DOT standards. You will produce weekly & monthly management reporting on the status of the depots and the vehicle maintenance.
