The Training Delivery Manager (TDM) reports to the Chief Operations Officer (COO) and is responsible for ensuring student training is delivered according to Leading Edge Aviations processes, procedures and relevant National Approvals Authority (NAA) regulations. The role focuses on maintaining the flow of students across all elements of Leading Edge, prioritising individual students when needed, and ensuring students complete training within agreed timescales. Utilising strategic modelling tools, the TDM will oversee and advise on required resources to complete training on time. The TDM is a key member of the Management Team, providing effective management across the company and fully supporting the Senior Leadership Team. This is a full‑time role working 40 hours per week, based at our Oxford Campus with some home working possible.
Responsibilities
- Ensure all students progress through training in a seamless manner, completing their training within agreed timescales.
- Liaise across departments to ensure smooth progressions – from Sales into Ground School, Ground School into Flight School, and between Oxford and Alhama.
- Prioritise students approaching tests and coordinate external agencies for testing in line with regulations.
- Identify any training pipeline blockages and offer solutions together with stakeholders.
- Utilise Aeroplanned as the strategic resource modelling tool, keeping it updated and directing nominated area owners to provide regular inputs.
- Provide outputs from Aeroplanned as required across the business.
- Use Aeroplanned tactically to direct resources at students or courses as needed.
- Attend all administrative and management meetings as directed and required.
- Liaise with external agents (e.g., Airlines) to update planned student completion dates and other information.
- Lead the weekly Student Progress Meeting to ensure all components of the business are aware of student progress and manage deficiencies when needed.
- Attend open days and events as requested by the senior manager.
- Assist in identified projects that align with the holder’s experience and capabilities.

Qualifications
- Extensive experience within aviation training.
- Proven background in developing and growing a role.
- Sound proven managerial capability.
- Track record of working in a complex and dynamic system.
- Able to liaise across multiple stakeholders, both internal and external.
- High personal and professional standards.
- Able to work independently and on their own initiative when appropriate.
- Capable of working in Enterprise IT systems and bespoke software solutions.
- Good report writing skills.
- Strong IT and systems skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a positive and enthusiastic outlook.
