Trainee District Manager - Pest Division

Ecolab is seeking a Trainee District Manager to join the Pest Division, responsible for supporting sales and service operations across the district portfolio.

Responsibilities
  • Support the Sales and Service Manager to plan and ensure service teams complete jobs to specification, on time and within budget.
  • Drive compliance by managing safety, business processes and expectations.
  • Provide advice to SDMs on complex surveys.
  • Plan and carry out service activities to the district portfolio, delivering a quality service.
  • Conduct audits on team members and subcontractors against defined criteria to provide quality service information.
  • Deputise for the District Manager in their absence.
Main Duties
  • Ensure teams maintain personal protective and application equipment in a clean and fully functional condition.
  • Maintain a clean and tidy vehicle; ensure car is serviced and drive in a courteous manner, participating in the Mentor driving app to keep risk rating low.
  • Update technical, procedural and Health & Safety knowledge; attend training and instruction as requested; undertake only operations for which trained and competent.
  • Maintain company standards in dress and appearance.
  • Comply with relevant Health & Safety, Environmental and employment legislation and Ecolab principles.
  • Accurately submit reports and paperwork at specified intervals.
  • Liaise with the District Manager and other branch staff respectfully; perform other reasonable duties as required.
  • Observe company principles and policies, presenting a professional image to customers and the public.
  • Complete FAR as required by the District Manager.
  • Participate in and promote Route 1 and Lead activity.
  • Provide courteous and professional service to customers.
  • Complete site audits using online IT resources.
  • Own portfolio serviced to a high standard.
  • Investigate call‑back visits, report root causes to the District Manager and resolve issues.
  • Develop the skills required for the District Manager role.
Personal Skills
  • Flexible working hours to ensure job delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Ability to accommodate overnight stays away from home.
  • Hands‑on problem‑solver.
  • Proven ability to deliver service (internal candidates: >90% QA score).
  • Numerate.
  • Good literacy skills.
