NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non‑clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.

The shift pattern for this post is - Monday - Friday, 09:00 - 17:00 / 09:00 - 16:30.

This is an exciting opportunity for a trainee band 5 Cardiac physiologist to work within an efficient and motivated Cardiac Physiology department in Greater Glasgow and Clyde. The role is based within Glasgow Royal Infirmary and Stobhill hospital covering both inpatient and outpatient cardiac services.

This post involves an intense supported training plan with education provided internally and externally on all aspects of cardiology required to meet national guidelines to achieve AHCS status.

The training post is over 3-4 years depending on level of achievement during the course of the learning and will require a level of commitment to the training pathway supported by National Education Scotland and mentoring provided by senior physiologists within the department.
