A community housing organization in Wales is seeking a Trainee Arborist to join their Green Earth Team. This role offers a unique opportunity to develop practical skills in arboricultural maintenance while promoting the conservation of local tree stock. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and a strong interest in environmental issues. Tai Calon was established in 2010 as a not-for-profit housing association, with almost 6,000 homes we are the largest provider of affordable homes in Blaenau Gwent. We are looking for a Trainee Arborist to join our Green Earth Team. This training role will enable you to develop practical and theoretical skills across a wide range of arboricultural maintenance and intervention activities. You will play an active role in the conservation and enhancement of Tai Calon’s tree stock, working closely with our experienced team. The role involves delivering a high-quality, safe, effective and efficient service, while ensuring value for money, promoting a culture of high performance and continuous improvement, and providing excellent customer service.
Fixed Term – 2 years
You will work 37 hours per week from Monday to Friday.
Working hours 8:00 am and 5:00 pm.
You will primarily be working across Blaenau Gwent. For the days that you\'re in the office, we\'ve got a bright, open and modern space for you to catch up with colleagues and work from.
