A leading environmental development firm in Bingley is seeking a qualified town planner to assist in preparing planning applications for recreational areas and facilities. Ideal candidates should have a relevant degree, strong communication skills, and an interest in sports. This full-time role includes attending site visits across the UK and liaising with clients. The company has over 95 years of history and has worked on some of the biggest national and international projects which in the last 25 years has included the 2012 Olympics in London, numerous FIFA world cups, UEFA competitions, the Saudi Cup turf racetrack in Saudi Arabia, development solutions for elite professional sports clubs in the UK and working with large multinational development & construction businesses and local & national government.
As the company expands, it is looking to bring in the right person to help deliver our expanding portfolio of development projects, working as part of a wider cross group team delivering high quality facilities on behalf of our clients.
STRI has several specialist consultants, designers, and technicians as well as project management capability and digital designers that can realise and deliver our clients aspirations. The successful candidate would be working as part of the development team alongside other specialist development consultants.
As a town planner at STRI Consulting you would be expected to assist the Director and Head of Development and the Senior Planner to prepare pre-application and planning application submissions for regeneration and development projects such as, recreational areas, sports facilities, as well as residential, commercial sites and development related to urban environments. You will need to be prepared to contribute to thinking creatively to solve problems and engage with colleagues to understand the business.

You would be based at the UK head office in Bingley, West Yorkshire, but the job would entail travel throughout the UK.
