Job summary

A leading tourism company seeks a Tours Director to manage and support a small team, design and operate European cultural tours. Benefits

Qualifications

  • At least one European language knowledge is required.

Tours Director

Amazing opportunity for a Tours Director to join a great company in London who specialise in European cultural tours. This is a hands‑on roll where you will be supporting a small team and designing, planning, costing and operating tours.

Responsibilities
  • Managing and supporting a small senior team of consultants
  • Designing, planning, costing and operating tours
  • Sourcing and liaising directly with European suppliers (hotels, restaurants etc.)
  • Working with DMCs (in both Europe and beyond)
  • Liaising with US clients, including pitching for new business and client documentation
  • Responsibility for tour and team finances
  • Writing itineraries and other promotional material (InDesign)
  • Overseeing processing of client bookings and documentation (Microsoft, CRM system)
  • Offering office support when colleagues are abroad
  • Booking flights (Galileo or similar)
  • Managing the website (WordPress)
  • Being a team player Ensuring all arrangements run smoothly and according to plan
  • Being responsible for the welfare of the party as well as daily logistics
  • Working with expert lecturers and / or local guides
  • Coping calmly and efficiently with any issues which arise – from tracing lost baggage to medical emergencies
Skills Required

Package
  • £50,000 per annum
  • £200 per day whilst on tour
  • Three days in the office and two at home
  • The offices are open from 9:00 am until 5:30 pm, Monday to Friday
