Tool Hire experience is not essential.We welcome applications from candidates with backgrounds in electricalengineering, mechanical fitting, automotive, HGV, plant, agricultural, or diesel mechanics, or similar hands-on technical roles.Full training will be provided on our equipment and systems.**Location:**Brand New Regional Workshop -Marsh BartonExeterEX2 8PY**Hours:**Monday–Friday 07:30 – 17:00 / 07:00 – 16:30**Contract:**Full-time, Permanent**Key Responsibilities:*** Service, maintain, and repair small plant and tool hire equipment* Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults* Work on petrol and diesel engines as well as electrically powered tools Complete routine safety checks and inspections* Prepare equipment to a high standard for hire* Carry out planned maintenance and breakdown repairs* Accurately complete job cards and maintenance records* Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workshop* Support branch colleagues as part of a wider team**Equipment You May Work On:*** Petrol & diesel generators* Breakers, compactors, and small plant* Electrical tools and equipment* Pumps, heaters, and site equipment* Associated cables, testing, and safety checks**What We’re Looking For:*** Previous experience in a mechanical, electrical, or engineering role* Ability to fault-find and problem-solve* Comfortable working with electrical systems and/or petrol & diesel engines* A proactive, reliable, and safety-focused approach* Willingness to learn new equipment and processes* Good communication and teamwork skills* Self-motivation and flexibility is a must**Desirable (but not essential):*** Tool hire, plant, automotive, HGV, or agricultural experience* PAT testing knowledge* Relevant mechanical or electrical qualifications* C1 License**What We Offer:*** Competitive salary Monday–Friday working hours (no weekends)* Full training and development* Career progression opportunities* Supportive team environment* PPE and tools provided* Quality - We’re unwavering in our commitment to providing outstanding products and service that exceed our customers’ expectations.* Supportive Environment - Join a culture that prioritises your growth, with the resources and support you need to excel.* Professional Development - We are invested in your success!
