Job Title: Tenancy Sustainment Officer (Permanent)
Hours: 37 hours per week (flexible in line with business needs)
Salary: £33,818.10 per annum (plus regular user mileage allowance)
Location: Gadbrook Park, Northwich (working across core locations such as Warrington and Cheshire)
Work flexibility: Work from our office at Gadbrook Park, Northwich, or home depending on the role and needs of customers, organisation, and teams
Weaver Vale Housing Trust seeks a motivated, reliable, and conscientious Tenancy Sustainment Officer who will offer support and advice to customers struggling to maintain their tenancy. This role is crucial to reduce the risk of formal action and ensure tenancy sustainment.
Responsibilities
- Provide outcome focussed support to promote successful tenancy sustainment.
- Provide support and advice to customers who are struggling to sustain their tenancy to reduce the risk of more formal action being necessary and ensure tenancy sustainment.
- Assess individual customer needs and develop realistic and achievable action plans in collaboration with customers, enabling them to address issues they may face, including but not limited to poor mental or physical health, addiction, social isolation, unacceptable property or garden condition.
- Using a person‑centred approach, adapt your response to both neighbourhood and customer need, to support wellness, thriving tenancies and communities and increase customer satisfaction.

Qualifications
- 3 GCSE’s Grade 4-9 / A*–C or equivalent level of qualification or experience.
- Full clean UK driving licence (access to a car essential).
- Effective communicator, with a wide range of individuals, who may have diverse communication needs.
- Ability to work independently and as a flexible team member.
- Ability to organise and adapt to varying workloads and balance competing priorities.
- Ability to manage confidential material and issues.
- Experience of managing challenging situations, demonstrating empathy, sensitivity and diplomacy.
- Experience of using professional curiosity to understand a customer’s needs.
- Ability to sensitively challenge concerning/risky behaviours that may put the customer or the tenancy at risk.
- Enhanced DBS check required.
