In this hybrid role, you’ll play a pivotal part in ensuring the proactive detection, escalation, and resolution of incidents, safeguarding service health and maintaining alignment with organisational standards. Acting as the central point of accountability, you’ll oversee monitoring processes, tools, and team performance to ensure the reliability and effectiveness of our monitoring ecosystem. ***What you’ll be doing***You will guide and support internal analysts while building a strong working relationship with our third‑party monitoring provider, ensuring high-quality delivery and seamless collaboration. A key aspect of the role involves shaping and governing standardised monitoring processes, from defining alert thresholds to establishing clear escalation paths. You’ll champion continual improvement by reviewing workflows, enhancing procedures, and driving automation initiatives that elevate our monitoring capabilities. Working closely with our Observability Practice and platform teams, you’ll help ensure our tooling remains healthy, up to date, and aligned with best‑practice lifecycle management. Your leadership will extend into post‑incident activity, contributing to root cause analysis, providing valuable insights, and helping prevent recurrence of monitoring issues. You’ll manage vendor relationships, participate in governance forums, and work with a range of stakeholders to ensure monitoring performance remains transparent, optimised, and aligned with business needs. Reporting will also be an important part of the role, including the creation of dashboards, scorecards, and operational insights that support decision‑making at senior levels. ***What you’ll bring***We’re looking for someone with strong technical expertise in monitoring tools such as BMC Patrol, Helix, Elastic, Entuity, NetScout, and cloud monitoring across AWS and Azure. You’ll bring proven leadership experience, a solid understanding of ITIL or equivalent service management principles, and the ability to communicate clearly and confidently with stakeholders at all levels. A talent for problem‑solving under pressure is essential, and while English fluency is required, Spanish language skills would be a welcome advantage.
