Job description

Do you thrive in a fast‑paced operational environment where technical coordination, data accuracy and stakeholder collaboration are critical? We are seeking a proactive and technically minded Technical Coordinator to play a vital role in supporting the safe, compliant, and effective manager of water systems. Working closely with operational teams, regional managers and specialist functions, you will play a key role in resolving technical issues, coordinating work activity and supporting performance across the region. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong organisational skills, a good technical understanding of water operations and a passion for delivering high standards of service.

Key Responsibilities

• Support Regional Managers in resolving complex customer complaints by working collaboratively with internal teams such as Wholesale Service Desk, Asset Management and Modelling.
• Provide operational and technical support to Water Distribution teams, including advice on non‑routine or technically challenging work.
• Assist in the investigation of network failures, contributing to solutions that reduce repeat incidents and customer impact.
• Support the planning and coordination of capital and planned maintenance works, ensuring activities are resourced appropriately and delivered efficiently.
• Review and support operational method statements (OM) to improve safety, efficiency and effectiveness.
• Track and report on regional flushing, change programmes and surveys, ensuring progress updates are accurate and timely.
• Assist with auditing and assurance activities, ensuring compliance with required standards and timescales.
• Ensure operational data is accurate and kept up to date including Maximo work orders and performance records.
