Team Leader / Senior Care Assistant

Location: Lofthouse Grange & Lodge Care Home, 340 Leeds Road, Lofthouse, Wakefield, West Yorkshire, WF3 3QQ.

Job Type: Permanent – Shift Type: Days – Shift Structure: 44 hours per week, days – Closing Date: 31 January 2026 – Pay: £12.81 – £14.80 per hour (dependent on qualifications / experience).

What You'll Be Doing
  • Leading and supporting the care team to deliver high-quality care
  • Administering medication safely and accurately
  • Monitoring residents’ wellbeing and updating care records
  • Liaising with healthcare professionals and families
  • Supporting residents with personal care, meals, and daily activities
  • Ensuring the home remains clean, safe, and welcoming
  • Promoting dignity, independence, and choice for every resident
  • Participating in audits, inspections, and team meetings
We’re Seeking Someone Who Is:
  • Qualified to Level 3 in Health & Social Care (essential)
  • Experienced in elderly care or dementia support
  • A confident leader with strong supervisory skills
  • Compassionate, patient, and reliable
  • A great communicator and team player
  • Willing to continue learning and developing professionally
