Teaching Assistant

A highly regarded Ofsted-rated Outstanding specialist school in Aylesbury is seeking a dedicated and resilient Teaching Assistant to support learners with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs and extremely challenging behaviours.

The Role:

  • Full-time, long-term position with the potential to go permanent
  • Competitive daily rate of £85-£95 per day
  • Supporting learners with SEMH and behavioural needs in and out of the classroom
  • Assisting the class teacher in delivering lessons across the curriculum, including GCSE and Functional Skills
  • Building positive relationships with pupils, providing consistent structure, encouragement and guidance
  • Working within a dynamic, supportive team in a specialist provision that focuses on both academic and personal growth

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Previous experience working with children or young people (school, youth work, support work or care settings welcome)
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build trust and rapport with learners
