A leading leisure operator in Abingdon is seeking a Swimming Teacher to deliver safe and effective swimming lessons. This role involves mentoring a team of teachers and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Candidates need to be qualified at STA level or Swim England Level 2 and have a friendly, approachable nature. GLL is currently looking for a Swimming Teacher based at The White Horse Leisure & Tennis Centre, Abingdon. Join us as a Swimming Teacherand play a key role in the developing both our customersswimmingskills, and the skills of your team of teachers. This is your chance to deliver safe, consistentswimminglessons that give people real confidence in the water – and an invaluable life skill.
As an experiencedswimming teacher, you’ll thrive on supporting people to achieve their potential. Taking a pupil’s nature and needs into account. ALead Swimming teacher willdraw on their knowledge of practices, progression and teaching points and apply it in the most effective way, whilst supporting and guiding your leam of teachers. Naturally, there’ll be some administration involved, but rest assured that almost all of your time will be spent doing what you do best, teaching people to become stronger swimmers and leading your team of teachers to success.
We’re looking for a Swimming Teacherswho are approachable, with the friendly, patient nature needed to build people’s trust, motivate pupils and encourage with praise. You’ll need to be STA Certificate level or Swim England Level 2 qualified and ideally have the National Rescue Award for Swimming Teachers & Coaches. Knowledge of health, safety and other relevant legislation will be vital too, as will an understanding of Child Protection Policy.
