A leading care provider is seeking a Support Worker to join their team at the Priory Ogilvie Court in Colchester. This full-time role requires compassion and empathy to support residents with disabilities and promote independent living. Key responsibilities include personal care, monitoring well-being, and assisting with daily tasks. The ideal candidate will possess excellent interpersonal skills and a full UK driving license. The Priory Ogilvie Court is looking to recruit Support Worker to join their team. This is a full time, permanent contract.
Ogilvie Court is located in Earls Colne, near Colchester. It offers residential support for 25 people with a primary diagnosis of a learning disability, and other associated needs. We can also support people who are on the autism spectrum and those who have physical disabilities. We are in a rural location, surrounded by lovely views and beautiful countryside. Our team are dedicated to providing the people we care for with the skills needed for them to live a healthier and happier life back in the community.
It would be ideal if you have previous experience gained in a similar role. However whilst this is valuable, we are looking for individuals who display the right values and behaviours in order to make a difference to people’s lives. You should be keen to learn and show compassion to care for the people we support.
You will be part of a compassionate team who are committed to our residents wellbeing. We take a personalised approach, using proven therapies to help people move forward with confidence and build a healthier, more fulfilling future.
Your positive attitude and passion for providing high quality care and support will be your key strengths, but you'll also have a friendly, patient and positive approach to work.
As a Support Worker, you will assist qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of residents. You will provide support with day to day activities, whilst encouraging and promoting independent living. As part of our team, you’ll help people reach their potential, through both practical and emotional support, making a positive difference to their lives.
