About Stanmore Residential – Life Skills Service

Stanmore House Residential acts as both a boarding element to Stanmore House School and a residential and respite service for the children of Scotland. The young people we support are aged between 5 & 20 with a variety of complex disabilities. We support them to live independently in our bright, fully adapted, residential & school campus based in the outskirts of Lanark.

Our amazing life skills service, supports young people up to age of 26, in a mock‑home set up, to learn life skills such as cooking, domestic tasks and money management to prepare them for independent living.

About the Role

We’re looking for a caring and motivated Support Worker to join our Life Skills team. You’ll support young people with disabilities to live fulfilling lives by delivering person‑centred support and engaging activities in a safe, positive environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support individuals with daily activities and personal goals
  • Facilitate meaningful opportunities and community activities
  • Provide personal care and administer medication where required
  • Maintain accurate records and work as part of a supportive team

About You

  • Compassionate, reliable, and enthusiastic
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Willing to work towards an SVQ qualification (training provided)
  • Experience in care is desirable but not essential

Drivers preferred, as our team are required to drive our manual adapted vehicle/bus.
