Overview

Calling all compassionate and dedicated individuals! Mencap is seeking a passionate Support Worker to join our team in Farnham, Surrey. The position is permanent and full time (37.5 hours per week).

About the role

At our Farnham service, we support five individuals with learning disabilities who share a welcoming and active home. Each person leads a busy and fulfilling life, enjoying regular outings and activities such as bowling, shopping, cinema trips, day excursions, and dining out. You’ll provide high-quality, flexible support tailored to each person’s needs to empower individuals to live as independently as possible and to make the most of every day—at home and in the community.

Responsibilities
  • Provide person-centred care and support to individuals with learning disabilities.
  • Empower people to live independently and participate in daily activities and community outings.
  • Build trusting relationships and communicate effectively with individuals, families, and team members.
Shift times

All services are 24hr care. We prepare rotas at least 4 weeks in advance so you can plan your personal and social life.

  • Days: Between 07:00–22:00
  • Sleep-ins: 22:00–07:00

There is also a sleep-in available where you will receive an enhanced flat rate payment of £63.70.
