Support Worker

We are pleased to announce an exciting opportunity here at Potens for a Support Worker at our established Supported Living and Community Outreach services.

This is a full-time position based in Reading, where we have a supported living service for 5 adults with learning disabilities. The people who live with us need variable support in all aspects of their lives. The level of care we provide and the outcomes for those who live with us are outstanding.

This role will also involve supporting people within their own homes out in the community.

Must be a driver with a full manual licence due to service needs.

What you’ll be doing:

  • All aspects of personal care, feeding, cooking, some cleaning, and key working.
  • In-house activities - baking, art/crafts, board games, sensory, reading etc.
  • Outdoor activities – Clubs, pubs, lunch out, keeping in touch with families, swimming, holidays, shopping, and planning.
  • Lone working may be required.
  • You will be flexible and can work all of the following shift patterns- Shifts will include early, late, and sleep-ins. Weekend working and bank holiday working is required.
  • This role will also involve supporting people within their own homes out in the community.

Who you are:
