Hours:

42 hours per week. Various hours between 8am-10pm, including weekends.

Pay Rate:

£13.20 per hour

Priory Hillside is a residential service located just outside of Burnley. We provide support to individuals on the autistic spectrum or with a learning disability, as well as those with a mental health diagnosis, including a personality disorder.

Set within a beautiful rural setting in the South Pennines, we aim to help residents create and achieve goals to lead a fulfilled and enriched life.

What you'll be doing

As a Support Worker, you will assist qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of residents. You will provide support with day-to-day activities, encouraging and promoting independent living.

  • Supporting with personal care tasks such as washing, dressing, eating and personal care
  • Performing light housekeeping tasks such as dusting, vacuuming, and changing bed clothes
  • Assisting with safe lifting, transferring, repositioning and movement of individuals
  • Assistance and support to attend medical appointments
  • Observe, monitor, and record physical and emotional well-being and quickly report any changes to senior staff
  • Supporting the development of important family connections and liaising with specialists including Speech & Language Therapists and Learning Disability teams
  • Encouraging participation in social and recreational activities that promote involvement and personal growth
