Job summary

A college in the UK is looking for a Supply Lecturer to join their team from mid-January for full-time hours over an initial 8 weeks. The primary focus will be on T-Level business and Employability courses. This role offers the opportunity to make a difference in the community by supporting students in a college environment. Candidates must demonstrate strong organizational and interpersonal skills, and be engaging and innovative in lesson planning. Pay rate is £18.72 per hour, plus additional planning time if required.

About The Role

EKC Ashford College are seeking to appoint a Business and/or Employability Supply Lecturer to their approved staffing list. Currently this position is available from mid January for full time hours for 8 weeks of work initially, with T-Level business and Employability being the main focus.

As a Supply Lecturer you will;

• teach, train and assess students in your subject specialism(s)
• ensure a high-quality learning experience
• provide support to learners to enable them to achieve their maximum potential

Please note that our Supply Lecturers are paid £18.72 per hour worked and if planning and admin is required, a further half an hour may be claimed per hour of teaching. £140 per day is therefore for rate for 5 hours teaching with 2.5 hours of planning and admin.

Any addition to the approved staffing list is not a guarantee of employment or hours of work. Once you have been interviewed and all pre-employment checks are complete, you will then be placed within the supply pool of staff available for temporary work. About You

Youwill be highly organised, creative and be able to plan and teach engaging and innovative lessons with demonstrated interpersonal skills. Assessing and tracking student progress, to further plan intervention this will be a vital part of the role and ensuring all students develop the skills they need to succeed.

The successful candidate will be able to teach a range of designated study programs and/or courses from Level 1 up to Level 3 and will be able to motivate learners to achieve and succeed on their programmes of study.
