A leading fostering service is seeking a Supervising Social Worker in Doncaster to support foster carers in Lincolnshire. This role offers a hybrid working arrangement, with a focus on trauma-informed practice. Ideal candidates will be registered with Social Work England and possess a formal social work qualification. Responsibilities include supporting foster carers with manageable caseloads and participating in recruitment events. We are looking for a Supervising Social Worker to work in our North service based in our Doncaster office, to support carers within Lincolnshire, namely Skegness.
The role offers a hybrid working arrangement, with some work completed from home, fact-to-face meetings with foster carers in Skegness and some work in the office in Doncaster. You would join a thriving and growing community of foster carers and a team of staff with a strong, welcoming, and child-centred ethos.
Five Rivers works from a Trauma-informed (ATIC) model, integrating our fostering, residential, clinical, and education services to achieve the best possible outcomes for young people. Teams are supported by a psychologist and a therapeutic practitioner, who are also foster support workers and business support coordinators. This, alongside manageable workloads, means social workers have the time and resources they need to provide high-quality support to their foster families.
You will directly support our foster carers with realistic caseloads, which enables a higher level of supervision, Monitoring, and intervention. As a supervising social worker, you will be working within a trauma-informed practice model that is continually evolving; you will support recruitment events and complete Form F Assessments.
A supervising social worker needs to be a team player and want to achieve the best possible outcome for all our foster carers and children. You will need to be registered with Social Work England and have a formal social work qualification.
The role also requires you to have access to a car for completing visits and the right to work in the UK.
