Overview: The Strategic Tender Manager may be based in any of our European locations. At AIT, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the international tender process from initiation to completion. You will collaborate with sales, operations, and legal departments to develop competitive and strategic tender proposals aligned with company objectives, contributing to growth and success. The candidate should be skilled in spend analysis, uncovering anomalies, spotting trends, and identifying opportunities for price reduction.

Responsibilities:

  1. Manage the tender network lifecycle, including preparation, planning, and execution, ensuring all documents and milestones are properly handled.
  2. Develop and manage tender outputs that are usable, accessible, and adaptable for sales teams and branches, ensuring scope objectives are clear.
  3. Maintain transparency in global network pricing across all modes, enabling stakeholders and sales teams to sell competitively.
  4. Collaborate cross-functionally to gather necessary information for tender submissions from sales, finance, legal, and subject matter experts.
  5. Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies to protect the company's interests.
  6. Represent the company in negotiations and presentations with clients or government agencies during the tender process.
  7. Lead the development and writing of high-quality tender proposals that meet all requirements and clearly communicate the company's value proposition.
  8. Identify opportunities and develop solutions to challenges within the supply chain, improving lead times and enabling sales growth.
  9. Ensure all tender submissions comply with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
  10. Analyze tender outcomes to identify improvement areas for future strategies.

Support internal teams to maintain high performance levels and share ongoing process improvements.

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Power BI (intermediate level preferred).
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize in a multi-task environment.
  • Understanding of value-led solution selling and ability to inspire others.
  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience in logistics and supply chain environment.
  • Excellent math skills and accuracy in pricing by segment cost and roll-up costs.
  • Fluent in English; additional major international languages are a plus.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including proficiency in virtual communication tools.
