Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary diploma/degree preferred.
• Prior buying experience desired; experience with electronic components is preferred.
• Ability to coordinate with different departments of the organization.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Computer literate, intermediate level MS Excel skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience negotiating favorable pricing desired.
• Able to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Source components from domestic and overseas vendors.
• Consult with manufacturing and program management to understand demand forecasts.
• Negotiate cost reduction via vendor negotiations and supply chain optimization.
• Responsible for purchasing commodity products, chemicals, equipment, and supplies.
• Maintain and grow supplier relations.
• Handle incoming inquiries and complaints in a professional manner.
• Provide excellent customer service using professional communication skills.
