Store Manager - Department Store
Reporting to the Area Manager, you will have responsibility for your store and team within The Frasers Group. You will build a team that trains, coaches and progresses, support business initiatives, ensure positivity and pace, control and deliver across store operations, customer service, budget control, people and product, and take ownership of key areas to share responsibility with your team.
Key Result Areas and Competencies
- Operations: promote store operations, deliver on KPIs, plan workload, delegate, ensure compliance, maintain a safe and healthy environment, train and coach, monitor task completion, meet deadlines.
- Controls: use reports to ensure wage controls, resolve issues, plan store schedules, handle payroll issues, maintain compliance, customer service and security standards, be accountable for controlling wages.
- Sales: understand business and customer expectations, motivate team for excellent experience, train on product features, support KPI tracking, analyse commerciality of key products, interpret merchandising guidelines.
- Development: identify internal talent, support performance management, identify performance issues, pursue self‑development, promote Frasers Group core values, coach team.
- Leadership and Management: inspire team, model behaviour, coach and motivate for success, build relationships to align goals.
Qualifications
- 3 years management experience in fast‑paced, high volume retail.
- Background in premium fashion beneficial.
- Ability to positively impact sales, payroll and stock loss.
- Proven record of developing talent.
- Work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Committed to supporting the area manager and achieving the highest store standards and customer service.
