About the role

Stockroom Assistant is a part-time, flexible position based in our flagship store in Covent Garden. The Stockroom Assistant is responsible for managing stock levels, ensuring merchandise is received and processed accurately, and maintaining an organized and efficient stockroom. The role includes supervising and training stock associates, implementing effective inventory processes, and coordinating with other departments to meet business needs. As a brand ambassador, you’ll represent our brand with excellent customer service and align with our sustainability and eco-conscious fashion values.

Day to day
  • Ensure presence for scheduled deliveries every Wednesday and Friday, resolving supplier discrepancies promptly.
  • Develop and maintain efficient stockroom processes to optimise workflow.
  • Collaborate with sales, purchasing, and logistics teams to align stock availability with demand.
  • Keep the stockroom clean, organized, and properly labelled with easy access to inventory.
  • Lead and oversee Saturday deep cleaning and ongoing maintenance of the stockroom.
  • Inventory management.
  • Verify incoming shipments against purchase orders, addressing discrepancies promptly.
  • Conduct weekly rough stock counts, verifying accuracy by checking a random unit.
  • Organise and execute full stock counts twice annually (January and September).
  • Identify, label, and organise faulty stock for further action and product performance monitoring.
  • Track and report slow-selling items, liaising with management and head office.
  • Prepare and document returns for head office using Excel, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company protocols.
  • Actively contribute to our commitment to environmental and social responsibility by integrating sustainable practices into daily work, minimising waste, promoting responsible sourcing, supporting circular economy initiatives, and encouraging customers and colleagues to align with sustainability values.
Ideally you’ll have
  • Proven experience in stock management or a similar role.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to train and motivate a team.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
  • Proficiency in inventory software (e.g., Square) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Effective communication skills to liaise with suppliers, management, and other departments.
  • Ability to identify inefficiencies and implement solutions in a fast-paced environment.
Availability
  • Must be available to oversee deliveries every Wednesday and Saturday. Working pattern is 6 hours per day on Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday.
  • Participate in stock counts and deep cleaning tasks as scheduled.
