Job description

Contract Type: Fixed Term until 31st August 2026

Salary: £25,989 - £26,403 pro rata (actual salary: £18,206 - £18,496)

Hours: 30 hours per week, Term Time Only plus 1 week

Location: Trinity Catholic College, Lacy Rd, Middlesbrough, TS4 3JW

We wish to appoint an enthusiastic, hardworking teaching assistant to join our friendly, inclusive school, to support SEND children on a 1:1 basis.

The successful candidates will have a clear commitment to promoting the well‑being of all the children in our care and to raising standards.

Trinity Catholic College is part of the Nicholas Postgate Catholic Academy Trust, a family of 32 primary schools, and 6 secondary schools. With more than 12,300 pupils and 1,500 plus staff, the Trust is now one of the largest Catholic Multi Academy Trust in the UK.

Responsibilities and Skills

  • Will be an excellent practitioner with high expectations for children in their learning and behaviour.
  • Provide tailored support to pupils in both classroom and individual settings.
  • Work closely with teachers, therapists and other professionals to support pupil progress.
  • Contribute towards creating a safe, inclusive and stimulating learning environment.
  • Support pupils with personal care and physical needs where required.
  • Have the ability to form positive, professional and effective relationships with colleagues across school, other professionals and parents/carers.
  • Will have a commitment to innovation, creativity and inclusion.
