We are seeking a talented bank Sonographer to join our growing Mayo Clinic Healthcare team! The sonographer will be an exceptionally skilled clinical sonographer/echocardiographer, demonstrating excellent clinical ability, organization, and interpersonal skills. The post holder will support the development of the rapidly growing Cardiology and Radiology Departments and collaborate with colleagues from the USA. The echo service includes adult TTE, TOE, DSE, exercise stress echo, contrast, and bubble echo procedures. The Radiology Department will benefit from general abdominal, pelvic, TV, venous, arterial, and carotid Doppler scans. The sonographer will provide highly patient-oriented clinical service and support new research projects in collaboration with researchers from the USA. The role involves working as part of a multidisciplinary team of clinicians, radiographers, and nurses. The sonographer will perform a full range of diagnostic cardiac and general sonography procedures independently, interpret complex clinical information, and develop specialized plans for cardiac and general sonography patients.
Must be authorized to work in the UK; relocation is not offered.
Minimum Education and/or Experience Required: BSc (Hons) degree in Radiography or equivalent, postgraduate Diploma in medical ultrasound or equivalent, and at least 3 years of experience with echocardiograms and general abdominal ultrasound.
Additional Experience and/or Qualifications: Experience managing ultrasound lists for quick diagnosis and treatment, excellent communication skills, teamwork experience, computer skills, familiarity with electronic medical record systems, RIS, and PACS, adaptability, leadership, critical thinking, and experience in private healthcare preferred. Must have the right to work in the UK and be fluent in English.
Licensure/Certification Required: RCCP/HCPC Registration, BSE European EACVI accreditation or equivalent, and additional specialty certifications as required.
