The Role

We are looking for a Solicitor to join our team in Harrogate. The successful candidate will manage their own caseload of claims which are being pursued against NHS Trusts and/or General Practitioners. You will work on a wide variety of complex defendant claims covering all aspects of medical practice. You will also have the opportunity to assist Associates and Partners with high value claims.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Pre-action investigation of claims
  • Litigation & costs management
  • Interviewing clinicians and drafting witness statements
  • Instructing medical experts
  • Multi-party litigation
  • ADR & mediation
  • Preparation for and attendance at trials
Essential Skills & Experience
  • Relevant experience of clinical negligence claims from either a defendant or claimant law firm
  • Excellent legal skills/knowledge and willingness to take on a varied and sometimes complex workload
  • Excellent time management and organisation skills, including time recording
  • Compliance with all internal & client protocols, including data security guidelines
