About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and qualified Social Worker to join the Adults Front Line Team in Cheshire East. This ongoing position is ideal for a motivated professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about making a tangible difference to the lives of adults in the community.

The role offers flexibility, with both part-time and full-time options available. You will contribute to core social work functions, supporting the delivery of high-quality care, safeguarding, and promoting independence across the borough. Key Responsibilities

Undertake assessments of need and risk, applying the principles of the Care Act 2014 and other relevant legislation.

Develop and implement person-centred support plans that promote wellbeing and independence.

Work collaboratively with health professionals, voluntary agencies, and other partners to deliver integrated and effective services.

Manage and prioritise an allocated caseload, ensuring all statutory responsibilities and deadlines are met.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in line with professional and organisational standards.

Participate in supervision, training, and team meetings, contributing to reflective practice and continuous service improvement.

Support the professional development of others, including students, where appropriate.

About You

You will be a confident and compassionate Social Worker who demonstrates excellent assessment, communication, and problem-solving skills. You will have experience managing complex cases and working effectively in a multi-agency environment.

Degree or Diploma in Social Work (or equivalent qualification).

Current registration with Social Work England.

Substantial post-qualification experience within Adult Social Care.

Good working knowledge of the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005, and safeguarding procedures.

Ability to work independently while maintaining a collaborative approach within a supportive team.

Access to a car and ability to travel across the Cheshire East area.

Experience in frontline statutory social work.

Familiarity with local authority processes and electronic case management systems.
