Site Engineer Clean Water / Utilities

Location: Rickmansworth

Day Rate: £300-£360

Hours: 45 hours per week

Red Sky Personnel, on behalf of a leading civil engineering contractor, is looking for an experienced Site Engineer to join a clean water infrastructure project based in Rickmansworth. This role involves hands‑on delivery and site management across large‑diameter pipeline works.

The Role

You will be responsible for supporting day‑to‑day engineering activities on site, including setting out, quality checks, and ensuring all works are carried out safely and to specification. You’ll work closely with supervisors, direct delivery teams, and subcontractors to keep the project moving efficiently and in line with programme targets.

Key Duties Will Include
  • Setting out using EDM/GPS
  • Checking quality on site and completing ITPs
  • Producing and updating as‑built drawings
  • Supporting temporary works implementation and supervising activities
  • Managing health, safety and environmental standards
  • Issuing permits to dig and ensuring service avoidance
  • Assisting with streetworks and connection details on large‑diameter pressure pipelines
  • Using Microsoft Office for reporting and documentation
Skills & Experience

To be considered, you will need practical experience working on clean water or utilities projects, ideally involving large‑diameter pipelines and direct delivery teams. Strong knowledge of streetworks, temporary works, and safe systems of work is essential.
