A reputable community service provider in Newcastle is seeking an Outreach Case Worker to assist young people in securing stable housing. The role involves outreach casework and providing support through needs assessments, crisis accommodation, and referral services. Ideal candidates will have a degree in Social Work or a related field and experience in case management and youth support. Competitive benefits and a full-time contract are offered.
The Case Worker will support Samaritans' Specialist Homelessness Service across the Lower Hunter & Newcastle, assisting young people (12-24) at various stages of securing safe, stable housing.
Key responsibilities include intake, needs assessment, individual planning, and referrals to wraparound services. The role primarily involves outreach casework, alongside crisis accommodation support and preventative programs to help young people sustain tenancies.
