Position Overview
The Shipping/Receiving Coordinator is responsible for assisting customers, drivers, and material handlers with incoming material. Success will be defined by your ability to provide excellent internal and external customer service along with the administrative order responsibilities.

- Manage incoming and outgoing shipments, load/unload deliveries, verify items against purchase orders for accuracy and damage
- Update inventory systems/ERP
- Process paperwork
- Properly store and distribute goods
- Organize warehouse for efficient flow of material
- Operate crane and forklift equipment with precision to not harm material
- Generate bills of lading
- Prepare shipping documents such as bill of lading, packing lists, and labels
- Verify and document shipping details including quantities, weights, signatures, etc.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with cycle counts
- Communicate with internal team to resolve shipping issues
- Ensure proper handling/receiving procedures of any hazardous materials have been maintained in order to protect EDCOAT from liability for improper/illegal shipping or receiving of hazardous materials.
- Work overtime as needed up to 12 hrs/day to cover PTO or call offs
Qualifications and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proficiency in basic computer applications and equipment (Microsoft office, ERP systems, printer, scanner)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Previous experience in shipping/receiving or logistics, preferred
- Receive drums, totes, coils, etc. via the ERP system
- Read and interpret documents such as safety rules and procedure manuals
- Write routine reports and correspondence
- Add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Compute rate, ratio, and percentage
- Solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
