Job summary

A leading construction firm is recruiting for a SHES Manager to join the Energy Team on the National Grid, HWUP Project. The role involves providing leadership in safety, health, environmental, and quality matters, ensuring management controls, conducting audits, and developing SHESQ plans. Ideal candidates will have proven experience in SHES management, relevant senior-level qualifications, and solid knowledge of applicable compliance standards. Qualifications

  • Proven managerial experience in SHES/Health & Safety.
  • Relevant memberships at a senior level like IOSH/IEMA/CQI.
  • Familiarity with MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership in SHESQ matters and support roles.
  • Ensure compliance with SHESQ Plans and company procedures.
  • Conduct regular inspections/audits for compliance.
  • Lead incident investigations and recommend improvements.
  • Develop and implement SHESQ campaigns and improvement plans.

Skills

< timestore> A day in the life of a Murphy SHES Manager:

  • Establish and provide Leadership in best practice in safety, health, environmental, sustainability and quality ( SHESQ ) matters in conjunction with the SHESQ function.
  • Advise and support Managers and Supervisors to discharge their responsibilities for the SHESQ of employees and others to whom they have a duty as defined by Legislation and Company Procedures.
  • Ensure management controls are in place so that all personnel are aware of their statutory duties and responsibilities, and to provide advice as and when required.
  • Take a lead with site management teams to ensure compliance with all requirements stipulated in the SHESQ Plans.
  • Manage & carry out regular inspections / audits of sites and work places to determine whether work is being carried out in accordance with Company Policy, Procedures and the relevant Statut nkw.
  • Lead, partake and oversee accident/incident investigations in accordance with the Company procedure and, analysing all data, making recommendations to avoid any reoccurrences.
  • Develop and implement SHESQ campaigns and improvement plans in agreement with.infinity . (This line's trim.)
  • Manage and produce SHESQ plans, procedures and associated documentation and check compliance.
  • Identify significant SHESQ issues for Operation Units / contracts / yards and help set-up contracts / yards to include appropriate controls.

  • Maintain records as necessary to ensure compliance with Legislation, Company procedures and Contract Requirements.
