Job summary

A UK-based company is looking for a SHEQ Engineer to implement and maintain ISO management systems. The role involves conducting site inspections, supporting internal teams with SHEQ-related queries, and assisting with the investigation of incidents. Ideal candidates will have experience in a SHEQ role, strong attention to detail, and knowledge of ISO standards. Qualifications

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the implementation and maintenance of ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and ISO 9001 management systems.
  • Act as a key point of contact for SHEQ‑related queries, supporting internal teams and customers on safety, quality, and environmental matters.
  • Carry out site inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
  • Assist with the investigation of incidents, accidents, and near‑misses.
  • Support the delivery of SHEQ training, site inductions, and toolbox talks.
  • Monitor environmental controls, including waste management processes.
  • Support the management of customer complaints, non‑conformities, and corrective actions.
  • Support supplier‑related concerns, non‑conformities, and corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate SHEQ records and compliance documentation.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across safety, quality, and environmental performance.
About You
  • Experience in a SHEQ / QHSE / HSEQ Engineer or Advisor role.
  • Working knowledge of ISO standards and UK SHEQ legislation.
  • Strong attention to detail with a practical, problem‑solving approach.
  • Confident working with site teams and supervisors.
  • Willingness to travel as part of a multi‑site role.
Desirable
  • NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent health and safety qualification).
  • Auditor training, such as Internal or Lead Auditor (ISO 45001, 14001, and/or 9001).
  • Experience using SAP or similar ERP systems for SHEQ reporting and compliance management.
